Forensic Medicine for Lawyers is a publication released in 2022. It is a concise, systematically organized text authored by Prof. Miroslav Hirt and Assoc. Prof. František Vavera from the Department of Criminal Law at the Faculty of Law, University of West Bohemia in Pilsen. Given that forensic medicine is taught at law faculties in the Czech Republic, including at the Faculty of Law at the University of West Bohemia, as part of criminal law courses, the publication is divided into two areas: criminal/legal and forensic medical.

The publication serves as a concise guide on forensic medicine, catering to professionals, the legal community, and law students. It was chosen as the Best Book Publication for the year 2022 by the Society of Forensic Medicine and Forensic Toxicology of the Czech Medical Soci-ety J. E. Purkyně.
