ARABFEST aims to bring Arab culture closer to the general public. The organizers present the cultural diversity of the Middle Eastern region through a diverse program for visitors of all ages, facilitating an intimate encounter with the Orient.

This year’s edition will be ceremoniously opened with a classical music concert featuring oriental elements by violinist Milan Al Ashhab and pianist Adam Skoumal. Film enthusiasts will be captivated by three films celebrating life, accompanied by a discussion after the screenings. Visitors will also have the opportunity to try out Arabic with thematic vocabulary in a lesson organized by students of Arabic from the Department of Middle Eastern Studies at the Faculty of Philosophy of the University of West Bohemia. To celebrate the Czech footprint in the Orient, students and academics from the University of West Bohemia and anyone interested in Middle Eastern studies can attend a lecture by Adéla and Milan Jůna from the Czech Academy of Sciences. The popular Great Saturday program will again take place at Papírna, offering activities for the whole family. There will be oriental markets, oriental street food, literature, discussions focused on celebrations in Arab countries, dance, and much more. The festival will conclude with a brunch, this time a charitable one, with the proceeds donated to the selected organization Pomůžu jak můžu, which assists those in need in Yemen.

The organizers are preparing a series of educational and entertaining content focused on family and religious holidays as well as significant social events through social media.
