The photographs are intended to prove that children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorders are no different from others at first glance. Yet they may face internal challenges on a daily basis that may not be outwardly apparent. Irena Vítovcová, founder and chairwoman of the ProCit Civic Association, says: "It is important to be sensitive, considerate and open to each other  not all limitations are visible. People with autism are often too quick to be judged by society for their behaviour because their disability is not visible, as is the case with some other disorders." Autism manifests itself particularly in the areas of social and communication skills and the need for some order.

The author of the photos is Kamil Holub and the photographs were taken during an educational and sports-relaxation stay in Konstantinovy Lázně.

The ProCit civic association was founded in 2010 with the intention of providing a safe space for families with autism spectrum disorder to meet.
