Intended for: students, employees and public

Lenka Hamosova, artist, designer and PhD student at FAMU, and Eliška Slámová, architect, designer and founder of the Braasi brand, accepted the invitation to the second lecture of the series dedicated to artificial intelligence. Together they will take a look at AI as a tool in the design process and the way it transforms it. They will offer a general insight into the possibilities and limitations arising from the principles of existing generative AI models as well as specific examples of objects and collections designed using them. What skills should artists and designers acquire to make AI their helper and not their enemy? And is it appropriate to rethink our attitude towards authorship?

Eliška Slámová is behind the urban backpack brand Braasi. The architect, who graduated from the Faculty of Architecture in Liberec and the Faculty of Architecture at the Czech Technical University in Prague, founded her own architectural studio with a partner at the school, where family houses, office buildings and the first prototypes of backpacks and bike bags were created. In 2013, the Braasi brand was created, combining design and production under one roof in Prague's Holešovice. In contrast to architecture, the Braasi project became an instant joy and grew from an evening hobby into a functioning business.

Lenka Hámošová is an artist, designer and expert in the creative use of artificial intelligence. Over the last six years, she has been intensively engaged in research on synthetic media generated by AI, which she combines with active sharing of her knowledge through lectures, educational workshops and development of educational materials. Her work focuses on fostering human creative input in the process of collaborating with AI and developing critical thinking towards the technology. She is currently completing her PhD at FAMU in Prague and actively supports the AI enthusiast community through initiatives such as the first Prague Creative AI meet-ups and her curation work at the Uroboros festival. Lenka graduated from the Master of Design program at the Sandberg Institute / Masters Rietveld Academie in Amsterdam and studied Visual Communication at the Academy of Fine Arts in Bratislava.
