The curatorial project (post-)System by Jan Van Woensel, which was first presented this spring in Mechelen, Belgium, will be shown at the Ladislav Sutnar Gallery.

The exhibition's concept is based on the premise that all art is created within a certain system; it explores the network of rules, structures, and their collapses, understanding art not as spontaneous inspiration, but as the result of construction.

The exposition will present artists connected to the Ladislav Sutnar Faculty of Design and Art at the University of West Bohemia – students, graduates, and teachers – as well as creators from Belgium and Ukraine.

The curatorial line connects diverse visual approaches and examines the tension between control and freedom, internal order and external chaos. The exposition shows how control manifests not only in art, but also in everyday life, politics, or technologies.
