The Ladislav Sutnar Faculty of Design and Art invites you to the exhibition Venus Today - the result of an interdisciplinary project from the winter semester 2024/2025. It will present works inspired by the Venus of Věstonice as well as other depictions of female beauty throughout art history.

During the winter semester 2024/2025, the Venus Today project was implemented at the Ladislav Sutnar Faculty of Design and Art at the University of West Bohemia in Pilsen, involving students from numerous studios. In their works, they drew inspiration not only from the Venus of Věstonice, her prehistoric counterparts and related archaeological research, but also from the whole range of forms and meanings of Venus figures throughout art history. We cordially invite you to the Venus Today exhibition, which will present the results of their work.

The exhibition opening will take place on May 28 at 6:00 PM.

The exhibition is free of charge.
