Want to make your first connections and discover vibrant university life even before classes begin? At the UWB, that's no problem. The new academic year will kick off in September with the university's traditional party at the Pilsner Urquell Brewery. Students, staff, and alumni are welcome.

On Wednesday, September 23, we are kicking off the new academic year. The University of West Bohemia is once again hosting a spectacular party in the courtyard of the Pilsner Urquell Brewery.
From 4:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., visitors can enjoy performances by student bands, competitions, and plenty of opportunities for informal networking and meeting new people. Would you like to make new friends, enjoy live music, and proudly be part of the University of West Bohemia in Pilsen? Then this is an event you won't want to miss. This year's
SemestrON will offer great entertainment while showcasing the many ways you can get involved in university life.
Visitors can look forward to attractions such as the
Wheel of Good Vibes, pub table games, and a chance to see the
UWB eRacing Team and its Formula-style race car up close. There will also be competitions with prizes, including season tickets to
Akademici Plzeň sporting events. In addition to the student bands mentioned above,
DJ Dardanella will also perform. The brewery will also host the
BrainON Pub Quiz and
Speed Friending, a fun, fast-paced way to meet new people before the semester begins. Participants have short conversations with multiple people, making it easy to get to know lots of potential friends in a short time. Please note that
advance registration is required for Speed Friending.
And there's more! This year, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beer will once again be served free of charge to holders of a JIS card. But don't wait too long, the offer is limited to the first 2,000 visitors, so it's first-come, first-served. More details about the program will be announced on our Facebook and Instagram.
